Shifting Sands Update

Some updated and new series of coastal timelapse series from Back Beach.

Standing on a target rockHere are three updated series. Two are from new viewpoints and one is an update of an earlier post. These series contain 18 to 20 photos taken between 13th September 2007 and 31st October 2007. I've also slowed down the slow frame e rate on the first series from 2 fps to 1 fps so you can follow the changes more easily (thanks for the suggestion, Marcus).

The rock I'm standing on in the photo is where I take the 'past the first point looking south' series. The rock was only just above the sand level when I started taking pictures on September 13th 2007. This photo was taken exactly a month later!

Amazing

Good project - incredible to see the amount of sand that was eroded (must have a been a big storm!) Also amazing to see the ebb and flow of the sand in later pictures. Is there a periodic cycle to this? Is there another beach nearby that gets denuded at the same time as this one gets a fresh load of sand???

Again - very cool.
