MS Mice don't work in Vista beta

Does it strike anyone else as ridiculous that Microsoft hasn't released Vista-ready drivers for its mice or keyboards. The latest version of Intellipoint does not install in Vista and Microsoft's web page says the Vista update won't be ready until December - after Vista has shipped to corporate customers.

Fortunately, the nice people at The Neosmart Files have provided a fix for Intellipoint and IntelliType with a re-written .ini file. The install procedure is a bit convoluted but worked perfectly for me.

And that's another thing. Why is Intellipoint a 7.5MB download? It doesn't seem to provide enough functionality to require that size file.
